SPS will return in November, two weeks earlier than before

13 January, 2022

The German automation mega-show SPS will be returning to its usual Nuremberg venue from 8–10 November, 2022 – two weeks earlier than its traditional slot in the last week of November. The show’s organiser, Mesago, says that the announcement will give the industry planning certainty.

Last year’s show, which had been due to take place from 23-25 November, 2021, had to be cancelled just four days before the doors opened as Covid-19 infection rates soared in Germany and the local Bavarian government banned large-scale gatherings. Several major exhibitors had already announced plans not to attend the show before it was cancelled.

“We very much regret the last-minute cancellation of the SPS 2021; none of us would have wished it to happen this way,” says Mesago president, Martin Roschkowski. “But now is the time to look ahead, so we are delighted to announce the earlier date for the SPS 2022.”

The concept for the SPS 2022 is already in its final stages of preparation and the organisers say that details will be published soon on the show’s Web site.

The organisers of SPS will be hoping that the halls will be buzzing again when the show returns later this year
