Siemens appoints new CEO for Motion Control business

Robert Neuhauser has been appointed CEO of Siemens’ Motion Control (MC) systems business, succeeding Uwe Frank, who is becoming CEO of Siemens’ Control Products & System business in its building technologies division in Switzerland.

Neuhauser, who has been with Siemens since 2006, is taking up his new post on 1 July. He is currently chief operating officer of Siemens’ healthcare business.

After completing a doctorate in physical chemistry, Neuhauser spent two years doing research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US. Later he worked in the development division of the chip-maker, Infineon. Since joining Siemens, Neuhauser played a key role in developing the Siemens Production System.

Ralf-Michael Franke, CEO of Siemens’ Drive Technologies division, describes Neuhauser as “an excellent technologist, strategist and manufacturing expert”.

Neuhauser: takes over on 1 July

Uwe Frank has been CEO of MC since October of 2008, driving the company’s strategic business alignment to become an innovation and technology leader supplying equipment to the global machine-building industry.
