Routeco partners with Dutch machine monitoring firm

26 June, 2023

The UK distributor Routeco has formed a partnership with the Dutch industrial IoT specialist Ixon, whose Ixon Cloud platform is said to simplify remote access and IIoT. The company also offers an edge gateway, the IXrouter, that allows users control the entire chain from machine to the cloud.

Ixon claims that its cloud and no-code IoT strategy offers advantages over traditional remote machine access systems. It offers users such as machine-builders and systems integrators, a secure, reliable way to stay connected with their machines, and to provide remote support to their customers. It also allows them to develop new services based on live and historical machine data.

This data, delivered via cloud-based dashboards, can be displayed on remote devices. The dashboards, which are customisable and have alarm capabilities, support local decisions to ensure machine reliability.

“Ixon’s remote services allows us to deliver even more value to our customers,” says Routeco’s group commercial director, Keith Harrison. “It fits perfectly with our strategy as the go-to partner for enterprises seeking to increase productivity by investing in advanced technologies.” Routeco already has partnerships with Ixon in The Netherlands and Belgium.

“The strategic partnership with Routeco in the UK and Ireland allows us to accelerate in these markets with local presence, native support and even faster delivery,” adds Ixon CEO, Willem Hofmans.

Ixon’s IoT platform allows remote access to machine data from a choice of devices

There are four models of the IXrouter gateway supporting Wi-Fi, 4G and Ethernet, and a model that covers all of these options. All have Gigabit WAN and LAN ports.
