The processing and packaging machinery exhibition returns with the organisers promising that it will be the biggest PPMA event this century, with about 8,000 visitors expected to attend. They will be able to see machinery in action and attend the seminars running during the show.
Sensors & Instrumentation

The event showcasing the latest test, measurement, monitoring and control technologies returns to the NEC with a new zone dedicated to flow, level and controls. Engineering workshops will give trainees and apprentices hands-on experience with the latest technologies, while the CPD-accredited seminar programme will cover topics including the development of sensor technology and sensors used in space.
Motek 2018

Location: Stuttgart, Germany

The international trade fair for automation in production and assembly is expecting to attract around 900 exhibitors from 27 countries, as well as around 38,000 visitors. Technologies on show will include assembly systems, machine components, handling technologies, and associated software and services.
Engineering Design Show
17 - 18 October, 2018
Location: Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK

The Engineering Design Show is the only UK event dedicated entirely to engineering, electronics and embedded design. More than 220 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors are expected to attend. There will be two conference theatres with more than 25 speakers, a series of free workshops, and feature zones including the Innovation Zone, which will introduce visitors to new technologies.
Advanced Engineering 2018
31 October - 01 November, 2018
Location: NEC, Birmingham, UK

Billing itself as “the UK’s largest exhibition for advanced engineering professionals”, the show is celebrating its tenth birthday this year. The Connected Manufacturing zone launched last year will be returning, as will the Enabling Innovation showcase where 50 start-ups and researchers will demonstrate the next generation of new technologies.
Maintec 2018
06 - 07 November, 2018
Location: NEC, Birmingham, UK

The UK’s longest-running exhibition dedicated to the maintenance, plant and asset management industry is changing from a three-day to a two-day event “in response to feedback from exhibitors and visitors”. There will be two show-floor theatres: Maintec Insights and Reliability Dialogue.
Motor Summit International 2018
14 - 15 November, 2018
Location: Zurich, Switzerland

The eighth summit will bring together speakers from around the world to discuss recent developments in energy-efficient motor-driven systems, including technological developments and progress in standardisation. The influence and impact of digitalisation and electromobility will also be discussed.
SPS IPC Drives 2018
27 - 29 November, 2018
Location: Nuremberg, Germany

The German automation mega-show is adding yet another new hall, bringing the total to 17 and allowing the event to accommodate more than 1,100 exhibitors. The focus in the new hall will be on mechanical infrastructure. Elsewhere, Halls 5 and 6 will now focus on software and IT in manufacturing, as well as industrial communications.
