UK Robotics Week

Following last year’s inaugural event, the celebration of robotics and autonomous technologies returns with a programme of open days, lectures, film premieres, competitions, demonstrations and exhibitions. A highlight will be an exhibition at the Science Museum in London of a collection of more than 100 robots, some dating back to the 16th century.

More than 320 exhibitors are expected to occupy more than 9,000 square metres of floorspace at the event which showcases technologies including processing and packaging machinery, materials, robots and automation, and industrial vision. Visitors will be able to challenge a computer-controlled goal-keeper called RoboKeeper.
Sensors & Instrumentation 2017
26 - 27 September, 2017
Location: Nec, Birmingham, UK

Described as “the UK’s only national sensors event”, the show moves to the NEC’s larger Hall 1 and is expected to attract more than 80 exhibitors. A new interactive feature area called Connecting Industry Live! will provide product demonstrations, while the Innovation Showcase feature has been expanded.

Digitalising Manufacturing 2017
30 - 31 October, 2017
Location: Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry, UK

This event, now in its third year, has expanded to two days, with a conference called Driving Competitiveness and Productivity of UK Industry through Digitalisation. The programme will include seminars, workshops, panel discussions and exhibits. Juergen Maier, chief executive of Siemens UK, will be the keynote speaker.
SPS IPC Drives
28 - 30 November, 2017
Location: Nuremberg, Germany

The huge automation and motion engineering event returns to Nuremberg after a successful 2016 event which attracted more than 63,000 visitors and 1,600 exhibitors to its location in southern Germany. Almost a quarter of the visitors come from outside Germany.
Drives & Controls Show 2018
10 - 12 April, 2018
Location: NEC, Birmingham, UK

In 2018, the Drives & Controls Show, along with Mach and other co-located events including Air-Tech and Plant & Asset Management, will be moving to halls in the “new” section of the NEC. 2018 will also mark the debut of the new Smart Machines & Factories event covering all aspects of the digital factory, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.
