UK Robotics Week

Now in its third year, the Robotics Week will consist of more than 100 activities across the UK, including conferences, lectures, open days, exhibitions and film premieres. The finale will be the International Robotics Showcase being held on 21 June as part of the International Business Festival in Liverpool. The Week is supported by the IET, the EPSRC, the IMechE, the Royal Academy of Engineering, and is being coordinated by the EPSRC’s UK-RAS network.
Industry 4.0 – from factory floor to the cloud and back again

Festo is running a Webinar that will take a look at digitisation in manufacturing and consider the process of connecting mechanical automation components to the cloud and how to derive insights from the vast amount of data collected. The Webinar is being run by Steve Sands, Festo's Industry 4.0 spokesperson in the UK, and is aimed at individuals looking for practical ways to begin to connect automation components to the cloud and to generate value from the data. It will use examples from Festo's product range in this area including its Motion Terminal, energy-saving retrofits, handling systems, Internet Gateway, cloud systems and dashboards. Attendees will leave the Webinar with an Infographic of key terms surrounding Industry 4.0, and a copy of a technical paper called 'Using the Festo IoT Gateway in Enterprise Networks'.
Hillhead 2018

Location: Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, UK

The biennial event for the quarrying, mining, recycling, construction, materials handling, concrete, civil engineering, demolition and landfill sectors, combines exhibition areas with working demonstrations of equipment such as excavators, hydraulic breakers, dump trucks, crushers, conveyors and shredding equipment. There will be more than 500 exhibitors for the first time.
Motor Summit International 2018

The eighth summit will bring together speakers from around the world to discuss recent developments in energy-efficient motor-driven systems, including technological developments and progress in standardisation. The influence and impact of digitalisation and electromobility will also be discussed.
