More than 700 exhibitors are expected to attend “the UK’s largest regional manufacturing technology, electronics and subcontracting exhibition”. Following storm-related disruption to the marquee-based event in two of the past three years, the show is moving to a new slot slightly later in the year than the previous February dates.

The industrial technology mega-show returns and includes the biennial MDA (Motion, Drive & Automation) event, alongside six other shows including Industrial Automation, the Digital Factory, and Research & Technology. The theme for 2017 will be Integrated Industry – Creating Value, and the partner country will be Poland. The fair aims “to shine a stronger spotlight on the benefits of Industry 4.0 for industry, employees and society in general”.

Location: NEC, Birmingham, UK
In 2018, the Drives & Controls Show, along with Mach and other co-located events including Air-Tech and Plant & Asset Management, will be moving to halls in the “new” section of the NEC. 2018 will also mark the debut of the new Smart Machines & Factories event covering all aspects of the digital factory, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.
