UK centre will test and repair industrial robots and controls

Radwell International, the industrial spare parts, repairs and maintenance specialist, has installed a robot testing facility at its Blackburn, UK, site to provide quality control for robotic spare parts. The Robotics Testing Centre of Excellence has 13 working robots from six brands – Kuka, ABB, Yaskawa, Motoman, Kawasaki and Comau – all linked to control panels, allowing Radwell to repair and test robots and controllers to support its customers.
According to Steve Turner, the company’s European head of production and engineering, the facility will help it “to meet the gold standard in quality control for robotics spare parts, as part of our commitment to providing our customers the best possible support in their hour of need, or for strategic obsolescence planning and preventative maintenance”.
