PPMA show will merge with UK Automation to create 3-day event

Automate UK, the organisation that represents more than 500 companies in the UK industrial automation sector, is combining its PPMA and UK Automation shows to create a single event called Automate UK Week. The new show will make its debut across two halls at the Birmingham NEC from 28–30 September, 2027.
Automate UK describes the move as a strategic step to create a more integrated, future-focused event that reflects the evolving needs of the industry. It expects the combined show to be its biggest exhibition to date. It adds that the initiative underlines its ambition to be the leading voice for automation adoption, workforce upskilling, and the advancement of UK manufacturing.
“Our intention in co-locating our flagship shows is to create what we believe is a genuine one-stop shop for industrial automation in the UK, thereby enabling exhibitors and visitors to maximise their experience and get the best possible return on their investment,” says Automate UK’s chief operating officer, Scott McKenna
“This announcement reflects our continued commitment to shaping industry policy and supporting growth across the sector,” adds the organisation’s chairman, James Causebrook. “Automate UK Week marks the evolution of our successful events into a more ambitious proposition that brings together the best of robotics, industrial vision, drives, controls and associated emerging technologies for businesses looking to adopt automation. It will focus on all facets at every level, from traditional manufacturing, processing and packaging applications, right through to AMRs, warehouse automation, logistics systems and the enabling technologies that sit around them.”
Automate UK Week will take place in Halls 1 and 5 at the NEC. Further details of the event will be released later.
