Drive systems tour hits the road in England and Scotland

12 June, 2015

Siemens is taking a custom-built exhibition truck on a three-week tour of the UK in July, starting in Cambridge on 2 July and finishing in Aberdeen 22 July. The Integrated Drive Systems (IDS) roadshow is designed to demonstrate how the company’s integrated drive systems can improve productivity, reliability and efficiency across many sectors.

The mobile exhibition includes application-specific exhibits and live demonstrations illustrating the advantages of using matched drive and automation components.

At each location, the roadshow will host three sessions in the morning, and a further three in the afternoon. These will focus on applications involving conveyors, bulk materials handling, pumps, fans and compressors. There will also be opportunities to discuss issues such as energy efficiency and safety. Visitors will also receive advice and guidance on services such as financial assistance, preventative condition monitoring and training.

“The IDS tour focuses on the benefits of a systematic, three-pronged approach to integration – the core element of IDS,” says Jason Peel, Siemens’ head of IDS strategy. “The exhibition is designed to help those looking for new ways to deal with increasingly complex industrial challenges.”

Siemens' exhibition truck will visit seven UK locations in three weeks

Siemens has set up a Web page with details of the IDS roadshow dates and locations, where people can register to attend. You can also keep updated with the latest news from the tour by following #IDSroadshow.
