Misumi announces discounts of up to 59% across 50 categories

05 August, 2013

The mechanical components manufacturer Misumi is introducing discounts of up to 59% for large volume orders for factory automation and machine-building products in more than 50 categories, including linear motion equipment, gears, pulleys and bearings. The reductions depend on the type of equipment and the quantity ordered.

The announcement has been made by Misumi USA, the American subsidiary of the Japanese Misumi Corporation, which says that the price reductions are the result of manufacturing cost savings that the company has achieved across its global operations. It adds that the Misumi is passing the savings on to its customers around the world.

For example, prices for precision linear shafts are, on average 16% lower than before, with discounts of up to 46% for large quantities. So, for example, a shaft with a one-off list price of $46.21, which used to cost $24.12 in quantities of 20–49 will, in future, cost £12.94 when ordered in these numbers.

Similarly, linear bushings are an average of 23% cheaper than before, with discounts of up to 42% on higher quantities. For couplings, the reductions are up to 30% and for gears they are up to 37%.

Misumi has increased bulk discounts across more than 50 product categories

Misumi USA has produced a summary of the discounts which, it says, will offer savings for manufacturers of production and assembly equipment, as well as testing, inspection and quality control workstations.
