Mitsubishi targets £105m turnover from new acquisition

01 February, 2013

Mitsubishi Electric has bought KH-Automation Projects from the Dutch-based Koop Holding Group, bringing together two companies that have had a close working relationship for the past 12 years. KH-Automation, which grew out of the Philips Automation Project Division in 2001, has installed more than 600 industrial and process automation projects and currently employs more than 50 people at sites in Germany and the Netherlands.

The acquired business will work with Mitsubishi’s Automation Division to bring both discrete and process automation systems to the EMEA market. Mitsubishi also plans to expand KH-Automation Project’s expertise worldwide and is aiming to achieve ¥15bn (£105m) of turnover from its process automation business by 2015.

Mitsubishi predicts that the combination of its own global reach with KH-Automation’s PMSXpro distributed control system, its knowledge of water and power generation applications, and its project management experience, will create growth opportunities for both companies.
