Kontroltek buys Karritek to deliver industry’s `most comprehensive service`

12 October, 2012

The Bromsgrove and Bridgend based industrial electronic repairs specialist Kontroltek has bought Karritek.com, which sells factory automation spares online and specialises in obsolete and hard-to-find parts. Kontroltek says that the two businesses will have a combined turnover of more than £2m in the first year, and aims to raise this above £5m within three years.

The company adds that the pairing will combine to provide the most comprehensive service offered by any business in the industry. Customers will be offered repairs and replacements while benefiting from an in-house knowledge of brands such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Telemecanique, Schneider Electric, Bosch Rexroth and Omron.

“This significant new partnership with Karritek means we can find any spare quickly and respond to our customers’ needs today – not tomorrow,” says Kontroltek managing director, Andrew Follant (above).
