Pre-wired assemblies simplify PLC wiring

Entrelec is offering a computerised system for wiring PLCs that, it claims, overcomes many of the problems encountered with traditional wiring methods.

The system, called Interfast, consists of prewired looms which plug into terminal blocks, and interfaces to provide measuring, monitoring and interrupt functions. Entrelec says that the system simplifies connections, saves wiring time, and eliminates errors.

The cable assemblies are produced using a computerised wiring system that automatically tests each loom and provides test data confirming that it has been assembled correctly. The prewired looms and interfaces are available for a variety of PLCs including models from Siemens, Telemecanique and Alan Bradley.
