Low-loss 690V drives are `most compact available`

Danfoss claims to be offering the market`s most compact range of 690V drives up to 630kW. The drives` efficiency of more than 98% means that heat losses are reduced and the drives can therefore be mounted in IP54 enclosures, as well as the more common IP20 and IP21 formats.

The low losses also mean that the drives can be mounted side-by-side, with access for installation and servicing from the front. The IP00 versions have optional cooling ducts to simplify installation in Rittal TS8 enclosures (as shown above), while the IP21 and IP54 versions are floor-standing and are supplied with a pedestal to simplify cable entry.

The 690V drives are available as part of Danfoss` VLT Automation Drive, HVAC Drive and Aqua series. RFI filtering to Class A1 is standard, allowing output cable lengths up to 150m.

Options and variants include fusing and mains disconnects, as well as 24V external control supplies.
