Eaton targets OEMs with motor controls

Eaton Electric is targeting the OEM market with a new generation of compact motor control gear including contactors, starters, relays and timers that are 20-30% smaller than the company`s previous offerings. The new XT range, which spans ratings from 1W to 1MW, has been designed to meet global standards and voltages, making it attractive to exporting OEMs.

Up to 15A, assembly is almost tool-free, while interconnections of reversing and star-delta components and combination motor controllers are achieved without wiring. Connector links snap together to create reliable connections.

The products are available in voltage ratings from 115-1,000V and the DC control contactors have a tolerance range of -30% to +20% to allow for voltage dips and surges.

The range includes reversing and non-reversing contactors and starters, and star-delta starters with AC-3 ratings up to 1kA. The AC and DC contactors have the same frame size and some devices can be controlled directly by PLCs.
