Size your transmission chain on-line

Size your transmission chain on-line

You can now determine the best size of transmission chain for an application using an Web-based program developed by Renold Chain. No downloads or user registrations are necessary to use the service which is on the company`s Web site.

The program requires you to provide some data on the proposed application; it assumes any missing data. From this, it determines the optimum chain size, and factors such as the chain`s predicted wear life, fatigue life, peak loads, and breaking loads.

The program will also warn if the parameters you supply would result in a premature chain failure and calculate a safe, alternative option. You can experiment with different chain sizes to see what effect this would have on factors such as wear life.

Finally, the program can produce a printout of the chosen option including a line diagram of the most suitable chain.
