NSK drops the -RHP from its name

NSK-RHP is dropping -RHP from the name of its European operations, from 1 January, in a bid to strengthen its global corporate identity. The -RHP extension was added after NSK bought RHP (formerly UPI) in 1990.

"NSK now believes it is the time to bring all of its operations world-wide under the name `NSK`," explains Seiichi Asaka, chief executive of NSK-RHP Europe. "However, the RHP bearings brand will continue to be manufactured and actively marketed world-wide."
