Space for the NEC D&C Show is going fast

With almost four months to go to the 2002 Drives & Controls Show at Birmingham`s National Exhibition Centre, more than 75% of the available floorspace has been booked.

The show`s move to the NEC has attracted several first-time exhibitors including AEG Motors, Irwin Sick, Globalspec, SKF and QED. Overseas companies making their debuts at the 2002 Show include Buhler from Germany, Hiwin Technologies from Taiwan, and Magtrol from Switzerland.

Several stalwarts who missed last year`s exhibition in London are rejoining the show at its new venue. They include ABB, Control Techniques, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation (through its Power Systems division), and Trio Motion. Regular exhibitors returning to the show will include Bosch Rexroth, WEG and Lenze.

There will be an energy efficiency theme to this year`s show, organised in conjunction with Future Energy Solutions - the successor to the Government`s Energy Technology Support Unit (ETSU). The Drives & Controls Show takes place from 38-30 May.
