Schneider warns over Indian contactors

Schneider Electric has issued a warning that contactors and relays made in India by a company called Telemecanique and Controls (India) and sold in the UK, are not manufactured with the technical assistance, or under the quality control, of Schneider Electric Industries.

Schneider has initiated legal proceedings against the Indian company with which, it says, there has been no technical or commercial co-operation "for many years".

The products involved are contactors with the TC1 designation, control relays designated TCA2, and overload relays designated TR2.

Schneider warns that it "cannot, and will not, be held responsible for any damage or injury to people, goods and fixed assets" which might result from using the Indian products.
