♦  South African born Shaun Prinsloo has been appointed Control Techniques’ regional director for UK and Ireland, with responsibility for managing its Drive Centres in both countries. He succeeds Dave Baston, who has left the company. Prinsloo’s brief is to grow Control Techniques’ market share “significantly”, developing relationships with both OEMs and end-users.

♦  Ray Tregale has been appointed managing director of Vega Controls, succeeding Mel Henry, who is stepping down after 29 years in the role. Tregale was previously the company’s Southern regional sales manager. Graeme Cross, the previous Northern regional manger, will assume the role of UK sales manager.

♦  Vacon is appointing Scott Blackwell as channel partner for key accounts from 1 January, 2012. He is taking on this newly created role after working for Vacon UK for four years, most recently as senior commercial engineer.
