Hoerbiger-Origa has invested in, and restructured, its Tewkesbury plant to allow it to supply rodless pneumatic cylinders "within customer` own time frame". The company, which claims to be the UK and world leader in the rodless market, previously supplied cylinders in 7-10 days and now says it can turn orders around in 3-4 days. It has even tested a while-you-wait service.

HMS Industrial Networks, the Swedish company which claims to be the world`s leading third-party supplier of fieldbus and network products, has set up a UK operation in Leicester. HMS` products, which support most leading fieldbus protocols, include embedded master-slave interfaces, single-chip controllers, serial gateways and bridges. HMS` phone number is 0116 285 9332. .
