Teco expands into larger premises in Salford

05 November, 2009

The motors and drives supplier Teco Electric Europe has relocated from its former site in Trafford Park to larger premises close to Salford Quays. The new building was opened recently by SC Lin, chairman of Teco Europe and UK, who flew in from the company’s head office in Taiwan.

“We’re really excited about the move to the new premises which highlights our confidence for future growth plans,” says Steve Porter, general manager of Teco UK. “Three years ago we underwent major restructuring, where we focused on generating re-investment into the company. The move to a new warehouse and office complex, which gives us much greater capacity, shows how successful this strategy has been.”

Teco’s previous premises were deemed unsuitable for its long-term goals which include being prepared for the end of the economic downturn by being able to meet the expected increase in demand.
