• After receiving assistance from the Government to exhibit at last year`s Hannover Fair, the Tewkesbury-based electrohydraulics specialist, Star Hydraulics, boosted its sales by 24% to £1.5m. Star, which makes servo valves and ancillary equipment, is forecasting a further 25-28% of growth this year

Bartec (UK) has appointed the Stirling-based hazardous area specialist, Dron & Dickson to sell its EEXd motors and electric trace heating products in Scotland.

• The Power Quality Partnership has almost doubled in size by attracting three new members - Riello Galatrek, Premium Power and PFC Engineering. The Partnership, supported by the EU`s Leonardo Power Quality Initiative, provides information and seminars on PQ issues..
