Robert Bosch has revealed its plans for integrating Mannesmann Rexroth into its organisation, even though the anti-trust authorities have yet to approve the takeover deal. It plans to create a new subsidiary Bosch Rexroth, which it predicts will have sales in 2001 of around £2,200m, with 65% of this being generated in Europe and 25% in America. The new company will employ around 25,000 people.

Under a "company lease" agreement, Rexroth will transfer the business activities of Mannesmann Rexroth and its affiliates to the new company, which will be active in the fields of industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, linear and assembly technology, drive systems and control technology, and service automation.

Bosch intends to merge its automation technology business with Rexroth but its assembly installations and special-purpose machines operation, which serves the Bosch group exclusively, will not be transferred.

Bosch says that the activities of Mannesmann Rexroth and its associate companies will "continue without change".
