M8 flange connectors with solder connections simplify wiring

Binder has announced M8 flange connectors with a solder connection that enable simple, manual wiring – for example, in customised builds, small production batches or repairs. They are suitable for applications where standard cables are insufficient or where customer-specific cable lengths are required, particularly in automation and robotics, where compact designs and flexible signal transmission are needed.
Typical applications are expected to include automation and conveyor technologies, sensor/actuator cabling, as well as measurement and testing systems. In robotic systems with limited installation space, the M8 flange connectors provide an efficient way of ensuring precise signal transmission.
“Due to increasing demand, we have developed an M8 solution with solder buckets for the relevant applications,” explains Binder product manager, Guido Werner.
The connectors are compatible with existing M8 interfaces. They are available with IP65, IP67 or IP69K protection. The components comply with IEC 61076-2-104, and meet quality and mechanical load capacity requirements.
Binder already offers M8 flange connectors in various connection types including dip-solder, wire and cable versions.
