National Sales Manager (General Manager Designate)

    We are now setting up a new sales, technical support and distribution facility to serve the UK and Ireland markets
    The National Sales Manager ( NSM ) reports directly to the Managing Director of our UK Company

    • Directly responsible for the Company’s sales activities and achievement of sales budgets 
    • Achievement of the business growth and sales gross margin objectives is to be based on the recruitment and retention of a national network of distributors and resellers and direct sales to key OEM customers and the NSM will have primary responsibility for achievement of these growth objectives. 
    • he NSM will ensure that we are consistently and appropriately represented in the UK market for Servo Gearboxes
    • The NSM supervises the Company’s marketing activities and is the main public and client spokesperson for the organisation
    • NSM has a key input to the business’s strategic direction and planning
    • The NSM will assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organisation's strategic growth plans and help implement project plans.
    • The NSM will supervise internal and external sales and technical staff recruited to the business as part of the growth strategy. 
    • The NSM role will be expanded for a successful candidate to include the General Manager responsibilities for the business after a period of approximately 6 months, based on agreed performance parameters. This extension will carry additional financial incentives. 

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Achievement of the business growth and sales gross margin objectives
    • Ensure the Company is appropriately represented at conferences and exhibitions UK – wide
    • Input into the content of marketing materials
    • Ensuring that the corporate CRM database is kept updated
    • Ensuring that the Sales activities maintain Brand, logo and image integrity.
    • Internal communication of sales successes
    • Recommendation and recruitment of distributor and reseller representation in areas necessary for local presence, participation in negotiation of distributor terms and conditions
    • Direct and manage Sales targeted Market Research to identify new potential distributor, reseller and OEM customers. 
    • Supplying the Managing Director with sales information for reporting to Board Meetings on progress and plans


    • Graduate in mechanical engineering preferred
    • Qualifications and Experience
    • The successful candidate will be professional, self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with excellent mechanical, analytical, communication and inter-personal skills.
    • 3-5 years’ experience of sales management of high- quality products for motion- control and machine applications 

    Candidates should have a strong knowledge of:

    • Bearing Life calculations
    • Planetary Gearing / Motion Control Technology
    • General Machine Design
    • Microsoft Office / Excel 
    • Precision Machining Drawings / Tolerance 
    • 2-D / 2-D CAD system

    Salary Package and Incentives:
    To the successful candidate, we offer an excellent salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits including car / allowance, bonus and medical insurance. The NSM extension of responsibilities to include General Manager responsibilities will carry additional financial incentives and rewards.
