Gateway simplifies comms between more than 100 protocols

An Italian automation company has announced a platform that simplifies communications between more than 100 protocols used in industrial and building automation systems. Milan-based Hysco says that its gateway supports most of the common protocols used in control applications, including Modbus, BACnet and MQTT, as well as radio protocols such as LoRaWan and Sigfox.
By acting as a central hub, the gateway facilitates communications between devices and systems operating on different protocols. It can consolidate disparate protocols into a unified platform, enabling interoperability and efficient exchange of data.
This consolidation reduces the complexities of managing multiple protocols separately. Users can save time and resources they would otherwise spend on troubleshooting compatibility issues, adapting to protocol changes, or developing customised integration systems.
The gateway also ensures that users keep up-to-date with the latest advances in the various protocols.
The gateway supports a powerful scripting language, allowing quick and flexible customisation of control applications. The software license does not have any data point limitations and can be expanded at any time to allow multi-protocol support and the design of graphical control interfaces. Additional services include backup/restore and tunnelling, for secure remote access.
The gateway is designed to be compatible with a variety of hardware servers. It is flexible enough to adapt to specific project needs and offers a variety of storage options to ensure that data is always accessible and secure.
