Four-in-one digital water tool wins BPMA product of the year award

A four-in-one handheld digital tool that measures water pressure, flow, temperature and hardness, has won the product of the year category in the 2025 Pump Industry Awards, organised by the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA). The award went to Salamander Pumps for its Acquascan device, designed to measure key water parameters precisely, thus helping installers to choose the right pump for an installation, and to discover whether there are any water temperature, pressure and/or flow issues in a new or existing pump installation. It can also identify hard water areas that could affect energy efficiency due to limescale build-up.
The product of the year award was sponsored by DFA Media Group, the publisher of Drives & Controls.
Other winners of 2025 Pump Industry Awards were:

- Sustainable contribution for a better world: Wilo water security and optimisation project
The 2025 awards – which marked their 25th anniversary – were held in Staffordshire, and attracted around 300 attendees and a record number of entries. A total of £1755.00 was raised on the night for the BPMA’s chosen charity, WaterAid, via cash donations and a Just Giving page.
Online entry forms for the 2026 Awards will be available on the event’s Web site from mid-June, with an entry deadline of 28 November, 2025.
