Platform transforms data from robotic inspectors into actions

ANYbotics, the Swiss specialist in AI-driven robotic inspection systems, has launched an asset management platform that allows businesses to exploit the data collected by its ANYmal four-legged mobile inspection robots. The Data Navigator platform transforms the data into actionable insights, providing a comprehensive view of asset health, and allowing preventive maintenance strategies that cut downtime and enhance operations.
By centralising multiple types of data – including thermal, acoustic, visual and gas readings – the platform simplifies asset health assessments and provides trend monitoring for preventive maintenance programmes. It allows users to predict potential failures before they happen, saving time and resources.
It also offers access to historical data to compare and identify trends.
Data Navigator’s intuitive interface requires no specialist robotics expertise. Its offers a choice of deployment options, including on-premises (local and air-gapped without needing Internet access) or in the cloud. It integrates with existing IT infrastructures, while maintaining data security. It also enables rapid validation of ANYmal robots, providing immediate insights from their inspection data. The system is ready-to-use and can integrate with enterprise systems such as SAP and IBM.

In recent pilot projects with three industrial companies, the platform analysed more than 2,500 ANYmal inspections over a period of two weeks. Both on-premises and cloud deployments were said to be rapid and seamless, with the former being operational within hours.
“To us it was important that the data stays on our servers,” says Patrik D’Allens, head of technical services at one of the pilot users, the Dutch health and nutrition specialist, DSM-Firmenich. “We installed Data Navigator as an on-premise, air-gapped solution for data privacy, keeping data secure on-site.”
Zurich-based ANYBotics, founded in 2009, has attracted more than $130m in funding from European and Silicon Valley investors so far.
