Gateway connects devices to CC-Link IE Field

The Swedish industrial communications specialist HMS Industrial Networks has extended its Anybus CompactCom 40-series family of communication interfaces with a new version that allows any automation device to communicate on the CC-Link IE Field network. HMS says it now offers both embedded and stand-alone gateway systems for all of CC-Link’s communication formats.

The gateway, certified by the CC-Link user organisation CLPA, is available either in a module format, to provide instant connections for existing CompactCom users, or in a brick format, for applications where space is limited or for users who want to add their own network connectors.

The AnyBus CompactCom modules are designed to be embedded into automation devices to enable fast communications with almost any industrial network. Because the products are interchangeable from a hardware and software point-of-view, users can connect to any network by simply selecting the appropriate CompactCom.
