£100 buys drive and motor package

WEG Electric Motors is offering UK OEMs combined motor and drive packages for less than £100 following the launch of a micro drive which, it believes, is smaller, cheaper and easier to use than other drives in its class. The CFW10 drive is a single-phase-in, three-phase-out design, available in three frame sizes from 0.12-2.2kW.

The drives (shown above) are supplied pre-programmed and ready-to-run. Standard functions include: S-type linear ramps and secondary ramps; separate acceleration and deceleration ramps; a jog function; DC braking; a multi-speed function with up to eight programmable speeds; adjustable linear and quadratic v/f curves; and slip compensation.

There is a membrane keypad for local programming and the drive incorporates a digital signal processor for high-speed performance. When the drive is supplied as a package with a WEG motor, the combination is covered by a three-year warranty.
