Eurotherm combines its three instrumentation operations

 

Invensys subsidiary, Eurotherm, is amalgamating its three instrumentation companies - Eurotherm Controls, Recorders and Process Automation - under a single management and a single trading name, Eurotherm. Specialist sales and support teams will be kept for each market sector.

Peter Tompkins, managing director of Eurotherm Controls, will become MD of the new business. He points out that historically Euotherm Controls has targeted the machinery control sector while the Process Automation and Recorders businesses have focused in the process control sector.

"However," he adds, "technological change is increasingly bringing about convergence of the control and instrumentation needs of these sectors. It is therefore logical to combine our activities while maintaining specialist application knowledge and support."
