Enclosures firm transfers logistics to German hub

29 February, 2012

The plastics enclosures supplier Fibox has moved to new premises in Stockton on Tees, following the decision to supply products to UK customers directly from its large European hub warehouse in Germany. Previously, the Finnish-owned company held up to £250,000 of stock in its UK warehouse, but following a cost-benefit analysis, it has decided to transfer its logistics handling to Germany.

Fibox says that the move will result in a wider range of stocked products, an improved order to delivery process, and reduced delivery times for customised products. It adds that the savings it is making by restructuring its UK operation are being invested in increased staffing and strengthening its customer service operation in the UK.
