Dean succeeds Molloy in Rockwell’s top UK job

25 October, 2011

Gareth Dean has succeeded Dominic Molloy as Rockwell Automation’s sales director for the UK and Ireland, following Molloy’s appointment as Rockwell’s marketing director for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

Before taking up his new position, Dean was sales manager of Rockwell’s UK end-user team. His earlier career included both technical and sales and marketing roles at companies including Hawker Sidley and Deritend. He was also vice-president of sales at ABB Robotics, and general manager of ABB Instrumentation.

His new appointment comes as Rockwell reports that it is enjoying strong growth both in sales and in market share in the UK, based on “helping businesses to use information to drive down costs while operating more efficiently, safely and profitably”.

“We are glad to have Gareth in this important role,” says Thomas Donato, Northern region director of Rockwell EMEA. “He brings valuable experience and a proven track record in sales and marketing to the job.”

“The UK and Ireland are an important market in EMEA”, adds EMEA president, Hedwig Maes. “We’re confident that Gareth will lead it to further growth.”
