♦  Mike Wilson, president of the British Automation and Robot Association (Bara) and David Bradford, formerly MD of RTS Flexible Systems, have set up a business called the Automation Advisory Service (AAS) to help companies assess how they could implement automation. The service includes an audit of a company’s operations to identify opportunities for introducing automation.

♦  Yorkshire-based Centa Transmissions has formed a partnership with the German gear manufacturer Keller, under which it will supply gears up to 4m in diameter and bespoke gearboxes weighing up to 160 tonnes.
