Modules convert sensor outputs to IO-Link signals

16 December, 2010

Balluff has developed a series of modules that connect to analogue sensors and convert their outputs into IO-Link signals, allowing unshielded three-conductor cables to be used instead of costly shielded cables. The IP67-protected IO-Link Analogue Plugs offer a 14-bit conversion resolution.

There are models for: 4–20mA current input and output; 0–10V voltage input and output; and PT100 signals. Various input, output, current and voltages signals can be mixed in one module.
