Rexroth reorganises to align with its markets

Bosch Rexroth is reorganising itself into three business units – Industrial Applications, Mobile Applications, and Renewable Energies – designed to align the company with its main market segments and the industries that it serves. As part of the shake-up, Dr Karl Tragl (below) will succeed Dr Albert Hieronimus as chairman of the Bosch Rexroth board of management from 1 July. He will also be responsible for the new Industrial Applications business.

Tragl was appointed chairman of Bosch Rexroth’s electric drives and controls division in 2004, and has been a board member at Bosch Rexroth since 2008. He started his career with Siemens, and from 1998 ran Siemens’ standard drives division in Congleton, Cheshire.

Dr Hieronimus will serve as a consultant to Bosch Rexroth until 1 January, 2011, when he will become be a member of the Bosch Rexroth supervisory board.
