Ballscrew specialist expands into new premises

30 January, 2009

The ballscrew specialist Steinmeyer UK has opened new offices in Northwich, Cheshire. Since it was founded in 2006, the UK division of the German manufacturer has seen its business expand year on year, resulting in the need for more office space.

This growth has been helped by the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Germany in 2007, which has boosted Steimeyer’s output substantially as well as cutting lead times for UK customers.

Steinmeyer makes ballscrews from 3–125mm, including tailor-made designs for niche applications. The company, founded in 1920, now has three manufacturing sites in Germany and sales offices in Germany, the UK and the US. It employs about 450 people worldwide.
