Tiny Atom-powered IPC weighs just 1.25kg

SPS logoThe German industrial controls specialist has Beckhoff has developed a tiny industrial PC based on Intel’s low-power, low-cost Atom processor. The 47mm-wide, 157mm-tall and 116mm-deep C6915 PC weighs 1.25kg. It has no moving components and will operate inside cabinets at temperatures of up to 55˚C, using its aluminium surface for cooling.

Beckhoff Atom-powered IPC

The IP20-protected, Windows CE-based PC has a mini-PCI slot for fieldbus or Ethernet cards (in addition to an on-board dual Ethernet adaptor). It offers a choice of 1.1 or 1.6GHz Atom processors and includes 1GB of RAM and 64MB of CompactFlash storage, and four USB 2.0 ports.
