B&R enters the inverter market

02 December, 2008

SPS logoThe Austrian automation supplier B&R has entered the frequency inverter market with a range of drives with ratings from 0.18–500kW. “Our customers have often asked about frequency inverters, so it made sense to add this product to our portfolio,” says B&R managing director, Hans Wimmer.

The ACOPOSinverter range is designed to complement the company’s existing servo drives, giving it a complete drives technology portfolio.

All parameters are stored in the CPU, easing maintenance as well as making the inverters easy to commission in series production applications, according to B&R. They support Ethernet Powerlink, serial and X2X communications, and include a model that captures braking energy via a DC bus or using a regeneration option.
