Safety conferences head for Manchester and the Midlands

18 March, 2008

Following the success of last year’s machine safety conference at Bletchley Park, organised jointly by Drives & Controls and BARA (the British Automation and Robotics Association), we are running two further events – one at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry (shown below) on 17 June, the other in the Midlands on 30 September.

MOSI

The one-day conferences, sponsored by Laidler Associates, will provide an overview of current an emerging machine and robotics safety technologies and standards, as well as examining practical applications through case studies. Speakers will include representatives from the HSE, systems integrators, Pilz, Sick, Laidler and Rockwell Automation.

"These conferences continue to be extremely popular," says Dr Richard Piggin, conference director and chairman of BARA`s Safety SIG (Special Interest Group). "As the subject develops further, with the transition to new standards, and it becomes increasingly complex, BARA will continue to educate the market and provide a forum for debate."

The conferences will include an exhibition area. If you are interested in exhibiting at, please contact Doug Devlin on 01922 644766. For more details on the conferences, visit BARA’s Web site at www.bara.org.uk.
