Fenner Precision buys Winfield Industries

05 March, 2008

Lincoln-based Fenner Precision has bought Winfield Industries, a US manufacturer of polyurethane and silicone tyres for digital imaging, medical and diagnostic imaging applications. The acquisition combines Winfield’s 40 years of experience in high-performance polymer-based rollers, with Fenner’s expertise in polyurethane mini-pitch timing belts, rubber flat belts and high-performance polyurethane and silicone tyres for office automation and paper propulsion applications.

"The combination of Winfield’s custom-moulded and Fenner Precision’s polymer-reinforced fabric technology will enable us to offer a broader range of solutions to our customers through a jointly formed global sales and marketing organisation," says Winfield president, Jeffrey Oak.

Production will continue at Winfield’s site in New York state, but under the Fenner Precision name.

Fenner Precision designs and develops belts, pulleys and tyres for paper propulsion, motion control and power transmission applications including printers, mail-handling machines and money-processing equipment.
