Integrated motor specialist expands into new HQ

The Californian motor-maker Animatics has moved its headquarters and US factory to a new 9,660m2 site in Santa Clara. The expansion is the company’s fifth in the past two years, during which it has acquired two companies and opened subsidiaries in the UK and Germany, and a regional office in Japan.

Animatics started life 20 years ago as a small CNC and general automation machine-builder in Silicon Valley. It reinvested its profits into R&D and this has resulted in a stream of motion control products, with the focus mainly on integrated motors – included the patented SmartMotor servo family – and integrated linear systems.

Animatics says that record sales and growth have required the move to the new premises (shown in the photo above).
