Tecnotion goes straight to China

01 September, 2005

The Dutch linear motor specialist Tecnotion has opened a manufacturing plant in China. Initially, the 1,500 square metre plant near Shanghai will produce parts for linear motors.

To guarantee the quality of the Chinese-made parts, the auxiliary materials will be checked and delivered via Tecnotion`s headquarters in the Netherlands.

Tecnotion, formerly part of Philips, specialises in iron-core linear motors, particularly for use in the electronics and semiconductor industries. This month it is moving to new purpose-built headquarters in Almelo, the Netherlands.
